B cells

Fine Art Print

B cells are a type of white blood cell which mature and emerge from the bone marrow with unique antibody molecules bound to their membrane. They circulate throughout your body before taking watch within your spleen and lymph nodes for that specific antigen to match up to it's antibody. If and when a match is made, the B cell rapidly divides giving rise to plasma cells and memory cells. Plasma cells are made to secrete massive loads of the antibody, and memory cells in case that antigen ever decides to show it's face in public again.
